In the last ten years, I’ve built a 200 million dollar real estate portfolio that includes luxury resorts, over a dozen cottage short term rentals, commercial properties and urban rental properties, without using a dime of my own money.

In her remarks, she stated that these checks were given to these companies because of their contribution to getting rid of the housing crisis. Right away I realized there was something wrong with this. You see these developers didn’t need the money. They were already billionaires.

I started thinking about the housing crisis and what really needed to be done to solve it. I realize that we would have to convince municipalities to completely change the processes they use for approving building projects, and we would have to get a lot more people into real estate investing.

You see when I first started out in real estate investing. I was doing simple things that put more cash in my bank account. I would do two or three house flips a year and I had a small portfolio of condos that I owned and rented. The better I got at investing and mastering the four essential skills of investing, the bigger the projects got. Today my company is about to begin building an entire subdivision. On top of that we have built several major resorts across Canada.

So I realize that if I could help 10,000 new people get into real estate investing and start helping real estate investors across Canada to master their skills, then eventually hundreds of these people would start building houses.  More real estate investors means more people building houses for our country
